Krisa Arzayus is the Deputy Director for the U.S. IOOS Program Office, located in NOAA’s National Ocean Service in Silver Spring, Maryland. She oversees office operations, including budget execution and staffing, while also working on strategic planning and implementation in coordination with Regional and National partners. She also serves as the Designated Federal Official for the U.S. IOOS Federal Advisory Committee (FAC), providing oversight and management of the FAC. Krisa holds a Ph.D. in Marine Science from the College of William & Mary and a B.S. in Chemistry with a minor in Music from Moravian College.
