Simon Michael Papalexiou is a Professor and Head of the Institute for Global Water Security at the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH), and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Calgary and the University of Saskatchewan. His research focuses on hydroclimatic variability and extremes, developing advanced stochastic and data-driven models to simulate storms, improve risk estimation of extreme events, and enhance the accuracy of local climate projections and uncertainty assessments.
