Mark Merrifield is a professor in the Integrative Oceanography Division at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UC San Diego, specializing in sea-level rise and variability, coastal physical oceanography, and nearshore processes. He directs the Center for Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation and serves as the program director for the Climate Science & Policy MAS program.
