Dr. Prabhakar Misra's research interests lie in the areas of (i) spectroscopy of nanomaterials (e.g. carbon nanotubes, functionalized graphene, metal oxides and quantum dots) for sensing and quantum computing applications; (ii) molecular dynamics simulation and modeling of nanoscale phenomena; (iii) application of artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms to large datasets;(iv) Raman spectroscopy of lunar analog minerals; and (v) modeling the lunar hydrogen cycle during solar storms.
He is a Fellow of The American Physical Society (APS).
