Integrated Observation and Modeling Reveal the 2024 Ruang Volcanic Plume within the Asian Tropopause Aerosol Layer
I'm a post-doctoral researcher at the Laboratoire de Physique et de Chimie de l’Environnement et de l’Espace (LPC2E) in Orleans,& receipient of the CEFIPRA ( Indo-French Centre for the Promotion of Advanced Research) Govt. Fellowship. I did my PhD on exploring the ionic composition of stratospheric aerosols on account of volcanic eruptions, and wildfire events using balloon measurements and satellite data. This research is based on 3 major field campaigns: (a) BATAL (Balloon measurements of the Asian tropopause aerosol layer) to study the convective transport of pollutants during the Asian summer monsoon. (b) REAS Campaign (Rapid balloon Experiments for sudden Aerosol injection in the Stratosphere) from volcanic eruptions (e.g. La Soufriere hill) and wildfire emissions (Northern hemisphere). (c) BraVo Campaign (Brazil Volcano project) to study the ionic composition of the Hunga Tonga Hunga Ha'apai submarine volcanic eruption in the stratospheric aerosol population. This research is a joined collaboration with NASA Langley-USA, NARL- ISRO-India, LPC2E, France, GSMA-Univ. de Reims Champagne Ardenne-France. My research led to the following publications:
