The Gravity Wave Zoo is a citizen science project that enlists astronomy enthusiasts and members of the general public to identify gravity waves, instabilities, and aurora in many images of the hydroxyl airglow layer (a faint near-infrared light emission) near 87km in altitude. These images are taken regularly from Poker Flat, Alaska and fill an important gap in observations by providing data from a high-latitude environment; an often under-observed region. We summarize and validate volunteers' engagement with the project and discuss planned expansions that highlight the directions in which these waves move across the sky.
