We investigated the variation of Penetration Eastward Electric Field (PEEF) with solar wind parameters during intense, moderate, and weak geomagnetic storms across the 0–180° longitude range. Using the Wavelet Coherence Technique (WTC), we analyzed the phase relationship and correlation between PEEF and key parameters-SYM/H, ASY/H, AE, IMF-Bz, Vsw, and PCN. Results show that PEEF strength increases with storm intensity, and a moderate association exists between IMF-Bz and orthogonal PEEF. This research improves understanding of geomagnetic storms and their effects on technology by advancing knowledge of solar wind and Earth’s magnetic environment, with Penetration Electric Field (PEEF) as a key factor in ionospheric and space weather dynamics.
