Density driven sediment laden flows, such as turbidity currents, are generated by complex slope failures, interacting within intricate channel networks. This can lead to sequential interaction of flow fronts. Here we present a holistic study showing that such interactions can accelerate flows and enhance run-out distance, increasing hazard risk posed. Further, we comment on appropriate modelling solutions to constrain hazard risk and predict the dynamics of such flow events.
