Mapping and monitoring the extent of switchgrass in the US, a grass that can be used as a biofuel and help reduce fossil fuel emissions. One of the concerns surrounding cultivating switchgrass for biofuel is the amount of land it would require and whether farmland for crops will be compromised. This study aims to understand where the switchgrass is being cultivated currently in the US and what crops is it replacing.
