Our project uses satellite data from GEDI and TanDEM-X to create detailed maps of forests, showing how tall they are, how much carbon they store (biomass), and how these aspects change over time. We're currently focusing on countries like Indonesia, Vietnam, Fiji, Laos, Bhutan, Brunei Darussalam, Philippines, Cambodia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, and Nepal. These maps help these countries track their forests and report on their efforts to manage carbon, which is important for fighting climate change.
