The New Horizons spacecraft is moving rapidly away from the Sun, and by 2023 had reached 57 Astronomical Units. The New Horizons ALICE spectrometer observes declining emissions from gas illuminated by sunlight, but still sees galactic emissions in the ultraviolet of two lines of atomic hydrogen, Lyman-alpha and Lyman-beta. This paper focuses on the Lyman-beta emission feature, that may include contributions from other atoms, such as neutral and highly-ionized oxygen.
