Florida’s coastal communities face increasing climate risks: sea-level rise, frequent storms, and eco-anxiety. This project supported the return of the Florida Interfaith Climate Action Network (FLiCAN!) Assembly in March 2025— an interfaith gathering in St. Petersburg focused on integrating scientific insight, community ritual, and cultural storytelling. Over 150 people attended keynote talks, workshops, and a climate-themed “Cosmic Mass.” The event demonstrated how science can be shared through spiritual, artistic, and intergenerational practices— expanding climate awareness, resilience, and community action. Co-created with faith and environmental leaders, the Assembly offers a model for inclusive climate engagement rooted in data, care, and shared values.
