Using high resolution white light total solar eclipse observations, this presentation reports on the first studies to reveal the central role played by the thermally unstable and dynamic interface between prominences and the overlying corona, referred to as the Prominence Corona Transition Region, or PCTR, where turbulence and instabilities originate in the low corona which propagate away from the Sun.
