A central part of Kalaallit Nunaat Qaffappoq, the Greenland Rising Project, was to develop and deliver education resources of the project findings that were centered in the community. These used local language and imagery to be accessible for the students, yet introduced concepts in the teachings were novel, unlocking new ideas and understandings for the youth. Collaborative planning and implementation of the teaching materials were critical to their success. Preliminary content was discussed, developed, translated and practiced with the partner team before using it in the classroom with students. The teaching and resources were provided in Greenlandic, Danish or English depending on the language preference of the student population. Resources and supplies were shared with local teachers so they could be used more broadly in their teaching. Hands on activities and active learning was emphasized in the materials. The following are recommendations for other projects hoping to do something similar. Organize a separate teacher workshop day at each school to teach them how to use the materials , co-teach with them. Consider working with a college pre-service teacher program to host a workshop on how to teach with the resources.
