The article introduces a flexible new algorithm for tracking 3D plasma motion in the Earth's ionosphere using ionosonde radar. Unlike earlier methods, it works with various antenna setups and improves with more antennas. The system was tested through experiments and simulations, which helped assess accuracy and suggest optimal configurations for different regions and space weather conditions. Developed for a modern ionosonde at the University of New Brunswick’s Radio and Space Physics Laboratory, it is also compatible with other digital ionosonde systems.
