NautiloPy is a free, open-source framework project which goal is to helps process underwater data. First illustrated on the Girona Underwater Cave Sonar and Vision Dataset, we now expand it to help process bathymetry data with 2D and 3D visualization. NautiloPy aims to democratize underwater data processing while supporting educational outreach and collaborative research.NautiloPy uses UV Python manager from Astral for very fast (10-100x faster than pip), robust and reliable setup (compatible macOS, Linux and Windows) as well as interactive notebooks with ipywidgets (interactive visualization and animation), and MyST markdown. MyST stands for Markedly Structured Text which means that we use text cell inside notebooks with lateX equation, clickable links with preview, easy copy-paste code and nice formatting.
