Wildfires are a global challenge, and we need better ways to track them. The new FireSat satellites will provide detailed, near real-time maps of fire boundaries and where they spread over time. This information, available every 30 minutes with high spatial detail, will help firefighters, scientists, and planners make better decisions during and after fires.
