The purpose of the Southwest Louisiana and Central Acadiana Resilient Future project is to create an enduring collaborative network to advance regional programs and policies that address a changing climate and its impacts. The project aims to strengthen resilience through two interwoven processes, community-based regional planning and regional governance. In this presentation, we discuss inclusive engagement and collaboration throughout the project, including challenges and strategies for meaningfully assessing community needs and concerns over many unique jurisdictions, Tribal governments, watersheds, and community types and profiles. Community-based organizational partners also discuss community ownership of resilience projects and creating capacity for green infrastructure.
