The Alaska Voices Podcast arose out the StoryCorps project, a collaborative framework for recording and archiving conversations across the nation. These recorded conversations were edited for time and clarity and turned into Alaska Voices, which aims to capture human stories that surround Arctic science and adaption in a time of environmental change. This approach to science communication demystifies the climate change researcher and those being impacted by climate change by providing a space for conversations and listening. Our approach to combining mini-series and free-ranging recorded conversations helps communicate valuable science while helping listeners connect with the people creating and using that science.
