This research investigates ground sinking at New Orleans' Louis Armstrong airport, located in a region susceptible to this issue. Utilizing radar data, the study focuses on how this sinking affects runway and taxiway stability, which is critical for aviation safety. Monte Carlo simulations were used to model the likelihood of significant sinking while also including probability-based hazard exposure scenario analysis of these key areas. The findings reveal that nearby areas are sinking at a rate of up to 8 mm/yr, with the airport also facing a high probability of considerable subsidence. Scenario-based probability investigations suggest that major runway and taxiway damage could occur within the next 60 years.
