The Tandem Reconnection and Cusp Electrodynamics Reconnaissance Satellites (TRACERS) mission was launched in late July, 2025. TRACERS is looking explain the nature of connection of the Earth's magnetic field bubble to the Sun's. It will also investigate properties of the Earth's ionosphere, through which it will fly.To accomplish this, the mission is employing twin satellites carrying a suite of plasma sensing instruments. Here, we compare the magnetic field fluctuations to the electric field fluctuations in order to establish the structure of conductivity in the ionosphere. Conductivity is a critical property that affects how energy and particles from the outer magnetic field bubble interact and transfer to the ionosphere.
