Dynamics of solar corona, solar wind, and earth’s magnetosphere are impacted by a rich spectrum of magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) and kinetic–scale plasma waves and instabilities. These phenomena play fundamental role in shaping solar–terrestrial interactions, driving energy transfer,and influencing space weather dynamics. This session will bring together the experts from solar and magnetospheric research to explore the intricate nature of plasma waves and instabilities and their profound impact on solar–terrestrial coupling. We invite contributions from observational, theoretical, and spaceflight mission studies that investigate waves and instabilities in solar and magnetospheric environments. Submissions that bridge wave dynamics across different regions – from solar corona to solar wind, from solar wind to Earth’s magnetosphere, and from magnetosphere to ionosphere – are especially encouraged.
