We invite submissions that advance our understanding of how climate change affects agriculture and food systems worldwide, but also how they can be part of the solution. This session emphasizes climate-related impacts, as well as potentials and challenges associated with adaptation and mitigation. We are interested in short- to long-term crop productivity responses, extreme weather event impacts, climate change impact attribution, changes in inter-annual variability, effects on crop nutritional quality, climate and crop model uncertainty assessments, CO2 fertilization effects, sustainable and climate-resilient farming practices, and much more. We also welcome contributions on the socio-economic dynamics of food systems, such as food system stability, land-use change, food trade and price responses, and others. We particularly solicit studies of non-staple and less frequently studied crops.
