The study of geochemical and petrological processes relies on continuous advancements in experimental and analytical techniques. New and improved methodologies enhance our ability to quantify phase equilibria, element partitioning, diffusion kinetics, volatile behavior, and magma properties and thus to more precisely reconstruct magmatic histories. This session highlights recent developments in high-pressure and high-temperature experimental geochemistry and petrology, as well as in microanalytical techniques. Contributions may include, but are not limited to, advances in: in situ measurements of volatiles and trace elements, high-resolution isotope geochemistry, and experimental constraints on mineral-melt equilibria and elemental diffusion rates. We invite contributions focused on developing novel experimental and analytical approaches, refining calibration methods, and applying cutting-edge techniques to address fundamental questions in geochemistry and petrology. Submissions that integrate multiple experimental or analytical approaches to probe magmatic and volcanic systems are especially encouraged.
