Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a transformative tool for establishing connections between data, acting as a tool that empowers humans to solve a wide variety of problems for which there were no easy solutions. However, there are many obstacles preventing our community from fully taking advantage of AI’s potential: lack of expertise, lack of access to computational resources, physical separation between data and compute, challenges in explainability, disparity validating results, lack of standard AI ready datasets, lack of common benchmarks, lack of standard protocols of uncertainty estimation etc. The aim of this session is to showcase solutions to any of these problems, or case studies that take advantage of existing solutions to these problems. The list above is not exclusive. Any effort aimed at building reusable AI tools, or building on existing reusable AI tools is welcomed and encouraged to participate in the conversation.
