Nutrient transport in agricultural landscapes has impacted water quality, soil health, and ecosystem sustainability. This session will delve into research and innovative strategies for managing nutrient transport and mitigating their effects on agroecosystems. Topics will include the dynamics of nitrogen, phosphorus, and carbon transport, the role of landscape features in the retention of these nutrients, and the effectiveness of various mitigation practices, including but not limited to cover cropping, buffer strips, and wetlands. Key themes encompass nutrient dynamics, mitigation strategies, landscape factors, nature-based solution, and social aspects. We invite researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to share their studies, insights, and experiences. The session aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue to advance sustainable nutrient management in agricultural landscapes. We welcome abstracts that address any of the key themes listed above. Submissions should highlight innovative research, case studies, or practical applications that contribute to our understanding of nutrient transport and mitigation in agricultural landscapes.
