Particle acceleration and transport are often studied in specific systems (e.g., solar flares, magnetospheres, SEPs, outer heliosphere, and astrophysical systems) and by individual mechanisms (e.g., reconnection, shocks, and turbulence). However, the fundamental processes that govern acceleration and transport, notably first‑ and second‑order Fermi acceleration and wave-particle interactions, transcend these boundaries. This session seeks to establish a unified understanding of particle acceleration and transport throughout the heliosphere. It will bring together theorists, modelers, and experimentalists from all areas of heliophysics to recognize the latest advances in particle acceleration and transport and compare how shared mechanisms manifest under different plasma conditions. It will also identify critical open questions and multi‑scale modeling challenges that, if addressed collaboratively, will advance the broader space‑physics community and encourage their mutual collaboration.
