Queer scientists are underrepresented in many scientific fields, even though they contribute significantly to the various academic, scientific, and professional communities that they are part of. Aligned with the theme of AGU25 “Where science connects us”, AGQ, the queer affinity group of AGU, is hosting this town hall session which will provide a safe and supportive space for queer scientists attending AGU25 to showcase their scientific work. The primary aim is to highlight and celebrate the important contributions that queer scientists across career stages are making to their various fields in order to increase visibility. Also, by gathering the AGU queer and ally community together in a formal setting for scientific discourse, we hope that the town hall session will foster and strengthen informal and formal support networks among the queer and allied scientific community.
