We welcome abstracts that explore innovations in digital technologies for observing hydrological processes and managing water resources. Advances in monitoring hydrological storage and fluxes are key to developing next-generation observational systems, modeling techniques, and data analysis platforms. This session focuses on the use of novel sensing technologies—ranging from remote sensing and mobile sensors to in-situ networks—combined with integrated modeling tools to observe and simulate hydrological processes across multiple spatial and temporal scales. Of particular interest is the fusion of diverse data sources into cohesive digital platforms that support real-time assessment, scenario modeling, and adaptive management in the context of global change and increasing hydroclimatic extremes. We encourage contributions that highlight the development or application of digital twins, the integration of digital observation systems for land, surface water, and groundwater, and case studies showcasing how these tools enhance understanding and governance of river systems and water resources.
