The Water-Energy-Food (WEF) Nexus approach promotes integrated management of interdependent resources across sectors and scales. The Nexus concept has gained significant attention in research and policy domains, influencing development projects worldwide.  However, as the concept matures, it is essential to take stock of what remains underexplored. This Town Hall seeks to identify the 100 most important questions for future WEF Nexus research and policy. We aim to explore; (a) evolution of the concept over the next decade, (b) barriers that hinder Nexus understanding and implementation, and (c) new opportunities for applying Nexus-based approaches. To achieve this, we adopt the horizon scanning methodology, a strategic foresight exercise to identify emerging trends, challenges, and uncertainties of particular field. We will first collect key questions from Nexus researchers, practitioners, and policymakers. Then, these questions will be clustered into themes using supervised clustering methods. Thematic working groups will be constituted to structure and refine the questions within key themes. Finally, the questions will be ranked within and across themes to produce a prioritized list of the 100 most important questions for WEF Nexus research and policy. We aim to produce a peer-reviewed journal article that strengthens the Nexus framework’s practical value and policy relevance.
