This session seeks to advance an interdisciplinary understanding of aerosol dynamics by exploring the origin, sources, transport, and deposition mechanisms of aerosols and their resulting impacts on environment, agriculture, materials and human health. Emphasis is placed on elucidating how complex interactions among the physical, chemical, and biological components of aerosols govern their behavior across dry and wet deposition pathways and underlying surfaces. We welcome contributions that explore: 1) advances in understanding aerosol physical-chemical-biological properties and interactions across spatial and temporal scales; 2) relationships between aerosol properties and their dry/wet deposition; 3) the role of black carbon in modifying deposition patterns, atmospheric heating, and climate forcing; 4) contributions of bioaerosols to atmospheric processes and their synergy with inorganic and organic chemical constituents and impacts on human health and environment; 5) the influence of chemical deposition processes (rain/dew/fog/occult and dry deposition) on ecosystem nutrient dynamics, public health, and air quality regulation.
