The Earth’s crust evolved in response to various physicochemical changes since its formation. This evolution drives a range of processes operating across different tectonic environments (e.g. subduction zone and orogenic belts) and geological conditions (pressure, temperature, redox etc.). These crustal processes require multidisciplinary examination of the various lithologies to gain a full picture of the diverse geological processes of the planet. This session welcomes multidisciplinary studies that utilize diverse approaches to examine crustal processes in various tectonic settings. We welcome contributions that examine any aspects related to metasomatism, low- to high-grade metamorphism, and crustal melting, including but not limited to fluid-rock interaction, redox, rheology, decarbonation, metamorphism, and related metallogenesis.
