Following up on results from this year’s Chapman conference on Particle Precipitation: Drivers, Properties, and Impacts on Atmosphere, Ionosphere, Magnetosphere (AIM) Coupling, this Town Hall session seeks to break the (leaky) wall that historically separates the AIM communities and slows cross-domain collaborations required to advance space weather research. Discussions will highlight the needs and wants of each community related to: How can we interconnect more effectively across communities? What existing datasets can be better leveraged and what new datasets are needed? What is necessary to further models’ insights into dynamics across this regime? We encourage input into this round table discussion from members across the AIM community at any career stage. The ultimate goal of establishing a regular meetup focusing on a cross-discipline approach to the above questions will be discussed, along with the possibility of producing a special issue publication with the same focus as this year’s Chapman Conference.
