Research Experience for Undergraduate (REU) Programs provide an authentic research experiences for students who might not otherwise have that opportunity. They are also able to build professional skills and find a research community. These experiences provide opportunities for students to learn about research careers in STEM so they can be better informed about their next steps. We invite abstracts from REU programs that describe recruiting and selection criteria, outline the participants research experience, and highlight the professional development opportunities. Evaluation results are also encouraged. Time will be allocated to discuss the unique challenges these programs are facing.
