This session will create an inclusive, supportive, and safe environment for undergraduates and early-stage graduate students to share their research on topics in paleoceanography and paleoclimatology. We encourage submissions that use empirical or modeled data to reconstruct past environmental conditions in oceanic or terrestrial systems. Early-stage and in progress research is welcome. This unique session offers an excellent opportunity for early-career students to forge collaborations, engage with potential advisors, and connect with peers in the fields of paleoceanography and paleoclimatology. Conveners will be present to help facilitate networking, to answer questions about early career research/career options, and provide feedback. By default, the session will feature poster presentations (select “Poster Only”); however, if any presenters wish for the potential opportunity to give a short (<3 minute) talk in a digital poster session they can signal this to the conveners (select “Assigned by Committee”).
