Equatorial plasma dynamics are essential to understanding the ionosphere's behavior in equatorial and low-latitude regions, particularly regarding ionospheric irregularities that affect communication, navigation, and satellite operations. This session invites contributions that highlight recent advances in the study of equatorial ionospheric phenomena through ground-based measurements, satellite observations, and numerical modeling techniques. We encourage submissions that showcase new findings on mechanisms behind ionospheric irregularities, such as equatorial spread F and plasma bubbles. Innovative methodologies integrating data from various sources to provide a holistic view of equatorial ionospheric behavior are welcome. Additionally, we seek advancements in numerical modeling that enhance our predictive capabilities regarding plasma dynamics. The session will also explore the implications of these dynamics for satellite communications and GNSS accuracy. By fostering collaboration and dialogue among participants, we aim to identify future research directions and emerging technologies in ionospheric studies, deepening our understanding of these critical processes.
