Scientists and educators must communicate research clearly and effectively to ensure meaningful connections with diverse audiences, informed decision-making, and real-world impacts. This session, which is organized by the AGU Hydrology Section Student Subcommittee (AGU-H3S), will explore creative and innovative ways to communicate our research across academic disciplines and to the general public. We will have presentations from geoscientists who have pioneered original and effective ways of communicating scientific findings and concerns. We encourage submissions across scales, disciplines, and modalities that showcase how to communicate science in unique and engaging ways. For example, we welcome traditional and non-traditional art media, citizen science and community observation outreach, social media projects, and data visualization initiatives. Together we will highlight and inspire the use of effective science communication strategies to reach broad-interdisciplinary or community-wide audiences.
