This session explores scientific advancements in understanding and implementing climate change adaptation. We welcome abstracts from both scholars as well as practitioners of climate change adaptation. The session aims to highlight inter- and trans-disciplinary work and foster collaborations to address the complex challenges posed by climate adaptation. Adaptation theory, case studies of adaptation success, as well as innovative tools and methodologies for implementing, tracking, and evaluating climate change adaptation are encouraged. We also welcome perspectives on situating adaptation within various social and governance mechanisms. Topics of interest include but are not limited to: Understanding and implementing adaptation integrating diverse knowledge and perspectives;Human dimensions of adaptation or resilience in critical infrastructure; Inclusive and fair adaptation; Innovative governance for adaptation; Studies of success or failures in adaptation practice; Innovative approaches for and insights from adaptation evidence-synthesis; and,Synthesis of adaptation evidence from grey literature and/or non-English language peer-review literature.
