Scientists share their science with broader communities through presentations, social media, events and activities, and more. They are often supported in these efforts by professionals in communication and education. For this session, we invite presentations that showcase how scientists are engaging public audiences, including the challenges and opportunities encountered in this work.We welcome contributions from individuals and organizations that collaborate with or support scientists in their public engagement and communication efforts. We especially encourage presentations that highlight strategies for broadening participation in STEM—whether by involving a wider range of scientists in engagement efforts, exploring innovative formats and platforms, or building connections that enhance access to science communication opportunities.Presentations across all phases of this work are encouraged, including recruitment, training, and implementation. Submissions that include evidence of impact, describe adaptable models of engagement, or demonstrate the role of networks and partnerships in supporting these efforts are particularly encouraged.
