Communities of color, low-income neighborhoods, and fence-line communities share the disproportional impacts of ecological and health disparities related to environmental injustice. While outstanding progress has been made in ensuring ecological and cultural dexterity through grassroots advocacy and policies supported by the Biden-Harris administration, the fight for environmental equity remains at a critical crossroads for long-term justice. This session invites presentations on environmental disparities through air, land, and water within the evolving policy landscape and political uncertainty. We welcome contributions highlighting the merit of community-engaged science, progress in grassroots environmental activism, and the role of science-informed policy in advancing the environmental justice movement. This session embraces open dialogues from local community activists, scholars, and community leaders, emphasizing collaborative solutions and shared expertise.
