This session invites researchers to explore coupled human–natural systems and socioecological transformations through the lens of convergent research. We seek methodological, empirical, and conceptual contributions that integrate social, ecological, and technological dimensions to advance understanding of system dynamics and support sustainability transitions. Topics may include urban–rural interactions, environmental governance, agricultural frontiers, or the consequences of resource-use decisions on ecosystems and human well-being. We are especially interested in procedural developments that guide transformation, exploratory studies that reveal complex system behavior, and work that bridges academia, government, communities, and industry. Submissions may include computational models, participatory methods, or creative and artistic approaches that foster new insights. The session promotes dialogue across disciplines and sectors, highlighting integrated research that challenges dominant narratives and supports equitable governance. Contributions addressing cross-scalar dynamics, integration of diverse knowledge systems, and innovations in systems analysis are particularly encouraged.
