NASA’s new Interstellar Mapping and Acceleration Probe (IMAP) mission, scheduled for launch in September 2025, employs a payload of 10 instruments to study the interstellar medium, size and shape of the outer heliosphere, particle acceleration throughout the heliosphere, and how variability of the Sun and solar wind in the inner heliosphere projects outwards and ultimately affects the conditions in the outer heliosphere and beyond into the very local interstellar medium. We welcome abstracts from both inner and outer heliosphere communities, involving theoretical, modeling, as well as data analysis studies (from current or past missions) providing insights into acceleration processes at 1 au and beyond, samples of interstellar material, and processes governing the dynamics of the outer heliosphere. We especially welcome any contributions highlighting new results concerning the nature of the connections between the Sun, outer heliosphere, and local interstellar medium plus any “first-light” results from IMAP.
