Effective and sustainable groundwater management requires an understanding of the character and functioning of the groundwater system, and an ability to evaluate and monitor groundwater quantity and quality. In this session we focus on the application of remote sensing and geodetic methods using satellite sensors such as InSAR, GNSS, GRACE and SWOT, as well as conventional and emerging ground-based and airborne geophysical methods. Of interest are examples related to all aspects of groundwater science and water resource management. We invite presentations describing the use of novel sensors, data sources and methods; new uses of established data sources and sensors; novel combinations of multiple sensors and methods; advancements in data integration across spatial and temporal scales; and data-driven breakthroughs in our understanding of groundwater systems. The spatial scale of interest ranges from local to global scale. We welcome discussions on bridging the gap between science and water resource management.
