In this session, we invite abstracts employing interdisciplinary approaches to quantify source contributions to air pollution across all scales and the associated health impacts. We invite new studies utilizing advances in remote sensing technology, atmospheric science and environmental epidemiology with implications or applications in integrated air quality-health impact assessments. We also encourage studies focused on the engagement with community partners, various stakeholders and decision makers. Topics could include: New studies of air quality (PM2.5, ozone, NO2 and precursors) relevant to public health assessments: novel atmospheric chemistry mechanisms, retrievals from emerging satellite instruments, low-cost sensor measurements and other open source data, novel or missing emission sources, or advances in climate change impacts on atmospheric composition. Advances in epidemiology, novel exposure assessment methods (machine learning, dynamic exposures, hyperlocal data), exposure ranges, morbidity outcomes (e.g., mental health, birth outcomes, asthma incidence) attributable to air pollutant exposure, baseline disease rates, disparities and cumulative impacts.
