Decadal variations in the air-sea coupling system act as a key regulator of climate variability, significantly impacting the global climate and environment. Currently, the key processes and mechanisms driving decadal variability are not well understood, and the decadal climate prediction community is still in its development stage. Advancements in dynamical theory, high-quality multisource data, numerical simulations, prediction strategies, and artificial intelligence have created promising avenues for deepening our understanding of decadal climate variability. Our session welcomes submissions on topics that involve air-sea-land-ice interactions, atmosphere-ocean dynamical processes, inter-basin interactions on decadal timescales and their impacts as well as decadal climate predictability and modeling. Furthermore, contributions from multidisciplinary perspectives relating to decadal climate variability are also encouraged.
