This session features presentations by winners of the 2025 Atmospheric Sciences Ascent Awards, the James R. Holton Award, and the Yoram J. Kaufman Award, highlighting the cutting-edge work of frontier researchers who are advancing the field of Atmospheric Science. The Atmospheric Sciences Ascent Award recognizes excellence in research and leadership in the atmospheric and climate sciences from honorees between 8 and 20 years of receiving their Ph.D. The James R. Holton Award recognizes outstanding scientific research and accomplishments from honorees within three years of receiving their Ph.D. The Yoram J. Kaufman Outstanding Research and Unselfish Cooperation Award recognizes broad influence in atmospheric science through exceptional creativity, inspiration of younger scientists, mentoring, international collaborations, and unselfish cooperation in research.
