Marine-terminating glaciers around the world are experiencing retreat and mass loss. However, the rates of retreat vary widely, with several remaining stable or even advancing. This heterogeneity results from dynamics in glaciology, sedimentology, geophysics, climatology, and oceanography. Therefore, improved understanding of these systems requires integrating observations across disciplines and designing physics-based models that accurately represent the key processes and feedbacks driving glacier behavior. We invite abstracts that use multidisciplinary datasets to understand any combination of glacier, climate, sediment, bedrock, and ocean interactions in the past, present and future. We also invite those who model feedbacks between these dynamic systems. This session aims to bring together researchers working in diverse marine-terminating glacial environments to better characterize the autogenic (internal) and allogenic (forced) processes that impact glacial stability. In particular, this session seeks to unite those working across disciplines to expand, refine, and answer questions about the dynamics of marine-terminating glaciers globally.
