The spatial extent of ice sheets, ice caps, glaciers, and ice shelves are vast but dynamic, evolving over hourly to millennial time scales and everything in between. Remotely-sensed data, including those collected from uncrewed aerial systems, crewed aircraft, and satellites, are widely used to address the observational challenges associated with such a complex component of the Earth system. This session welcomes submissions that focus primarily on remote sensing of terrestrial ice masses and proglacial environments, ranging from small mountain glaciers through the floating margins of ice sheets. Topics can include scientific insights gained through remotely-sensed data analysis, methods development, new processing techniques (e.g., data fusion, machine learning, AI), integration with field data and/or numerical modeling, etc. With a goal to promote cross-disciplinary exchange, we welcome submissions highlighting different parts or processes within the Cryosphere, and across the methodology and sensor landscapes.
