This session integrates advances in regional Earth system and hydroclimate modeling to meet urgent societal needs for actionable climate information. Emphasizing the full water continuum—from atmosphere to terrestrial, riverine, and coastal systems—it covers hydroclimate variability and extremes including heatwaves, droughts, floods, wildfires, and coastal hazards. Contributions focusing on high-resolution regional modeling, coupled climate–hydrologic frameworks, downscaling, uncertainty quantification, and hybrid modeling approaches are invited. We especially encourage work leveraging emerging technologies such as AI/ML, IoT, remote sensing, and large ensemble datasets (e.g., CMIP6, Subseasonal-to-Decadal Prediction projects) to improve early warning systems and stakeholder engagement. By fostering interdisciplinary collaboration among atmospheric sciences, hydrology, ecology, and coastal science, this session aims to accelerate progress toward climate adaptation and resilience at regional to global scales.
