Scientists are increasingly expected to have their research be more impactful to the broader scientific community, to society, to users, and to policy decision-making. This session aims to draw on the fields of convergence, co-production of knowledge, actionable science, community-based research, and engaged research, all centered on the theme of impactful research. Evaluating the impact of research is known to be challenging due to its long time frames and other influences. This session provides a platform for promising practices, case examples, and experiences on methods and metrics of impactful research. Presentations led by or featuring non-academic partners are encouraged.
